SAFFRON ICE CUBES - ENHANCE YOUR BEVERAGES

Add a touch of luxury to your drinks with saffron ice cubes! Ice cubes are perfect for adding flavor and color to iced tea, lemonade, and more.
INGREDIENTS
Water
Ice cube trays
INSTRUCTIONS
In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil.
Once the water is boiling, add 1/4 teaspoon of saffron threads and stir.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, or until the water turns a deep orange color.
Remove from heat and let the saffron water cool to room temperature.
Once cooled, pour the saffron water into ice cube trays and freeze for at least 6 hours or until solid.
Once frozen, pop out the saffron ice cubes and store them in a plastic bag or container in the freezer.
Note: You can adjust the quantity of saffron threads depending on your preference for intensity of flavor.

16 fl oz (1/2 liter) drinking water
Method:
Using a mortar pestle, grind together the saffron and sugar to a fine powder. Add warm water and let infuse for 5 minutes. Pour over a jug filled with 16 fl oz water and mix to combine. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Can be served iced or at room temperature. Consume within 2-3 days, keep refrigerated.
